Counterline introduce new energy saving controllers

Counterline has again set the standard for energy saving control for most of the products in its extensive range of free standing and drop in heated and chilled displays.

Some of the benefits of our new controllers:

  • All lighting and temperature controls are now ideally located at eye level in the display canopy or light duct. Both heated and chilled displays use self contained compact power control modules with all connections by plug and socket for easier installation and service. On the chilled displays the power board comes pre-installed next to the condensing unit, on the heated displays the power board can be mounted almost anywhere adjacent in the counter body (apart from near heating elements).
  • This new standard reduces installation time by avoiding cutouts for the old style control panel and simplifying interconnection wiring.
  • On the chilled displays condensing unit cycling is optimised to ensure that the unit runs only when it is needed and defrost evaporation elements, instead of wasting energy by being on all the time, are carefully timed to use energy only when needed during the defrost cycle. The defrost heater elements are similarly controlled.
  • Both of these features not only save energy directly in the running of the unit but also by reducing rejected heat that needs to be removed by the air conditioning system. Improvements in insulation technology further reduce energy usage.
  • The heated displays also benefit from the latest technology ensuring precise, seamless temperature control by using a combination of burst firing and phase angle control, maintaining food at safe temperatures whilst using the minimum possible amount of energy.
